Parent Policy and Procedures 2015-2016
Our school doors open at 7:10am and students are considered tardy by 7:30am. Breakfast will be served in the classroom and will end at 7:35am. The Sanders Clyde school day ends at 2:30pm and Expanded Learning ends at 5:00 pm; this is the time dismissal will begin. We encourage you to schedule parent/teacher conferences with all teachers. If you wish to visit a classroom, we ask that you schedule this through the front office to obtain the best times to visit a classroom. Parents will receive a parent observation form to complete during each visit. This form will provide teachers with feedback.
Students are not permitted to wear any polo style shirts . All students have the option of wearing either powder blue or yellow button up oxford shirts and the choice of navy blue or khaki bottoms. All students will have a tie to wear as well; our school and PTA had graciously purchased the first tie for you. Additional ties can be purchased for $5.00 each through our Parent Advocate, Ms. Grant.
EARLY SIGN OUT POLICY
No student will be allowed to sign out of the building after 2:00pm unless the front office receives written notification between 7:00-8:10am. A parent or approved designee must come into the building to sign a student out; we will not allow them to come outside or walk home.
PARENT VISITATION/CLASSROOM VISITATION POLICY
No student will be dismissed through the main atrium hallway nor will parents be allowed to wait for their children in that area.
Car riders will be dismissed on Jackson St., and walkers will be dismissed from the back entrance on Harris Street. If you are picking up your student from the car rider line, we ask that you remain in your car and we will bring your student to you. Parents of car riders need to sign your student up for a number. This number should remain in your car and be visible at all times. This will help us to expedite dismissal
If your child is a walker and being picked up by yourself, or a sibling, we will have a waiting area for you on the sidewalk of Harris Street.
"We're Counting on You," to make this year a SUCCESS!!!
