Grant Partners

Sanders Clyde is appreciative of all of the support that we get from grants throughout the year. We have several grants that support our Arts programs as well as our classrooms. We love our Grant Partners!




Arts in Basic CurriculumArts in Basic Curriculum provides our school over $5000 a year for the next 3 years. These funds are being used to send our First Graders to 2 Charleston Stage productions and to provide materials and supplies for our Holiday and Spring programs. These funds are also being used for professional development for teachers to provide Arts Infused curriculum.








Arts Access SC
Arts Access South Carolina is a nonprofit organization that provided children and others with disabilites a quality arts experiences. This year they will be providing a 9 week theater residency for Exceptional scholars. 









Youth Endowment for the ArtsThe Charleston Marathon funds grants for the Youth Endowment for the Arts. This year, our Dance program received portable Dance mirrors to assist our students with their Dance Instruction.





SC Department of EducationThe South Carolina Department of Education Arts Curricular Innovation Grant is providing our school with $18,000 to be used for a visual artist residency for our First Grades, materials and supplies, curriculum planning, and professional development for our arts staff and teachers.












Dance FXThrough their Give the Groove educational outreach program, Dance FX supplies a resident dance teacher for our scholars. We hold an annual fundraiser block party to allow community involvement in receiving this donation.




SC PortsMJ Barber Enterprises, through the SC Ports Authority is sponsoring an Inspirational Pathways program that will provide a work of art from a local artist to our school on an annual basis. Students will visit the Redux studio and the Gibbes Museum of art to learn about and from local artists to aid in their selection of a piece each year. This grant provides $2500 per year for this project.




Michael TuckerMichael Tucker of Stokes Kia supplied the vehicles for our scholars for the Burke High School Homecoming Parade. 







Donors ChooseMany of our teachers apply for and receive grants from Donorschoose.org. Please go to the page and put in the name of our school to see if there is a project that you can assist with. We have received books for our library, learning games for classrooms, and many other needs for our scholars.




ElmersMrs. C. White has received a $500 grant from Elmer's to make videos in the Brain Pop style. The grant will allow her to purchase a video camera, backdrops, and costumes for the scholars.
